Where are you, and how do I find you?

The Fraser Centre, Unit 5, Faraday Road, Dorcan, Swindon, SN3 5HS. We are on the Dorcan industrial estate, a few minutes from junction 15 of the M4 and just off the A419, so we are an easy run from Swindon, Wiltshire and the surrounding counties.

Do I need to book, or can I just turn up?

You are welcome to walk in. If you are coming as a group, want a particular board, or want a coaching session, book in first by ringing 07752 265974 or emailing wiltshiredartshouse@outlook.com so we can make sure we have space for you.

How much does it cost?

Board hire and coaching rates are set in house, and Bully Club members pay less than guests. Ring us on 07752 265974 or pop in and we will talk you through it.

Question 4

Do I need any experience?

Accepted Answer

None at all. We run beginner courses and taster sessions, and our coaches are used to people who have never picked up a dart. Complete newcomers are genuinely welcome.

What is the difference between your boards?

Accepted Answer

A regular board is the traditional bristle board at standard height. A Scolia omni board is a modern wall-mounted playing set-up with automatic scoring. A flexiboard raises and lowers, so it can be set to suit a junior player, a seated player, or anyone who finds the standard height awkward. We have all three across our fifteen full set-ups, four of which are competition boards.

What height should a dartboard be, and how far back is the oche?

The standard is 5ft 8in (1.73m) from the floor to the centre of the bullseye, with the oche 7ft 9 and a quarter inches (2.37m) back from the face of the board, measured horizontally. Our height-adjustable boards can be set away from that standard for juniors, seated players and coaching.

Is it suitable for children and families?

Yes. We run family sessions and junior coaching, and our height-adjustable boards mean younger players throw at a board set for them rather than stretching up at an adult one.

Do you run SEN sessions?

Accepted Answer

Not yet, but they are coming. SEN sessions are something we care about and we are planning them for later this year, run in a calm, supported environment. Ring us on 07752 265974 or email wiltshiredartshouse@outlook.com and we will let you know as soon as they start.

Question 9

What is the Bully Club?

The Bully Club is our membership. Members get members rates on board hire, priority on coaching and events, and entry to club-day competitions. It is 29 pounds a month, with no tie-in, and you can cancel any time.

Question 10

Is there a membership for children?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Junior Membership is 10 pounds a month per child, for under-16s. It is an add-on for Bully Club members who bring their children in with them, rather than a membership on its own. Children need to be supervised by their adult at all times while they are here. When a child turns 16 you can either cancel it or upgrade them to the full Bully Club.

Can I trade in my old darts?

Yes, on Mondays. Bring them in and we will value them against current second-hand market prices, then offer you 80% of that value as Wiltshire Darts House store credit, which you can spend on darts, flights, shafts, boards, accessories or anything else in store. It is store credit rather than cash. Darts need to be in reasonable condition, and brand-new darts need proof of purchase. All valuations are at our discretion and full trade-in terms and conditions apply.

Can I book a party or a corporate day?
